I am a professional opera singer, teaching artist, voice, and piano teacher. I have over 10 years of teaching experience and work for the LA Opera and Houston Grand Opera as a Teaching Artist. I hold two degrees in voice performance from Cincinnati Conservatory of Music and Rice University. My students have received scholarships to high level music schools and conservatories all across the United States.

Private Voice and Piano Lessons in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Remotely

Voice and piano lessons are individually tailored to each student to meet their needs and goals. I work primarily with singers who are considering a career in voice or musical theater, however, voice and piano students of all levels are welcome.

I teach a traditional, classical technique to all students, and incorporate other genres of their choice in each lesson.  Music theory and music history are incorporated in every lesson to ensure a well rounded understanding of music.  I teach in-person lessons at my studio in Philadelphia, PA and remote/zoom lessons to students all over the country.

If you are looking for a studio that fosters healthy technique, mind-body-heart connection, and a deep expression of musicianship, I would love to work with you.

Private Lessons Offered

Piano students learn ear training, major/minor scales, music theory, proper finger technique, classical songs, pop songs, memorization and performance techniques. Advanced students learn to play Sonatas and other classical standards. Consistent practice habits are discussed every lesson in a safe and encouraging way to keep students progressing every week. All ages and levels are welcome, as I believe music should be a part of everyone's lives. Piano students must be at least 5yrs old. Adults at all levels are welcome! Rates start at $60/lesson.

voice lessons

Voice students learn classical technique, musical theater technique and pop styling. Students also learn ear training, how to read music, sight reading and solfège. We work on finding each student’s authentic sound, connecting to the breath, performance techniques, connecting deeper with their emotions while singing, and how to prepare for auditions and competitions for advanced students. We spend an equal amount of time developing proper technique and acting skills. Singers will learn to sing songs in Italian/German/French/English, as well as musical theater standards and pop songs. Rates start at $60/lesson.

Acting for singers

Singers develop skills to create emotionally moving performances. These lessons are 100% individually curated to help each student become expressive, confident singers. We use mind-body connection techniques, improv games and imagination exercises to help students feel emotions with more depth and specificity, so that they are more readily available during performance. Finding connection to the music you sing is both powerful for the performer and the audience. This class can help you learn to project your emotions in an honest, believable way. Rates start at $60/lesson.

Watching students master how to sing/play the piano with more ease and enjoyment is why I do this work. Singing and playing piano are such enjoyable, invigorating activities that challenge the mind, body and heart. I am constantly in awe of my student’s bravery and willingness to be expressive performers. I use social and emotional learning techniques to help students gain confidence, vulnerability and deeper connection to themselves as artists. I encourage authenticity in each of my students and help them tap into their innate creative resources.
